Gleichen RCMP have arrested a woman in connection to a New Year’s Day hit and run that took the life of a 19-year-old pedestrian.
The suspect is believed to have been returning home following a New Year’s Eve party when she struck and killed Reyd Nevin Rabbit Carrier on Highway 901.
28-year-old Alisa Bullbear, a member of the Siksika Nation, faces charges of Impaired Driving Causing Death, Criminal Negligence Causing Death, and Failing to Remain at scene of collision.
Bullbear will appear in Siksika Provincial Court on January 17.
