A 39-year-old woman has died in motorcycle accident.
The woman was driving a 2009 Kawasaki VN900 when she hit a light standard around 4:15 pm Sunday afternoon.
She was riding her motorcycle on the ramp from westbound 16 Avenue N.W. onto northbound Stoney Trail N.W. when she hit the base of the light standard and then drove into a cement barrier.
Calgary police say speed and alcohol don’t appear to have been factors in the accident.
Police officers are looking for witnesses who saw the crash or what happened just prior to the crash - anyone with information can call the Traffic Section at 403-567-4000.
