The Airdrie Regional Air Show will be flying high this summer thanks to funding from the province.
Air show organizers and volunteers were presented Saturday with a $75,000 cheque.
The money comes from the Community Initiatives Program and will help ensure the event continues in years to come.
This year's regional air show will feature a performance by the Canadian Forces Snowbirds and takes to the skies July 16th and 17th.
Airdrie Mayor Peter Brown says the air show is a big hit with residents, adding he expects more than 50,000 people to attend this year's event.
