Southern Albertans can breathe a sigh of relief (without coughing) as the smoke that blanketed a section of the province over the last week is no longer impacting the region.

On Tuesday, Alberta Health Services lifted its air quality advisory after air monitoring results indicated the Calgary Zone is no longer impacted by smoke from forest fires in Washington State.

While wind direction and weather conditions may alter air quality in the near future, officials believe Albertans are currently not at risk of wildfire smoke related health concerns.
