Police in Innisfail are investigating after a number of vintage signs were stolen from the community hall in Spruce View and say the total value of the theft is between $30,000 and $40,000.
Over 30 antique signs were taken from the community hall in the hamlet, west of Innisfail, sometime between midnight and 08:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 23.
The Pepsi, Crush, Coca Cola and Tobacco type signs were set up in the hall for an auction that was supposed to take place that same day.
Police are asking people in the community to report any suspicious persons or vehicles that they observed in the area at the time of the theft.
