Owners of a house at Hunterstone Hill N.W. got a shock early this morning.

Shortly after 3 AM, they woke to a noise and the whole house shaking.

A truck had slammed into their home, and the driver and passenger were sitting in the vehicle injured and dazed.

They managed to climb out of the late model Ford 150 through the windows, and flee the scene.

Members of the Fire Department Heavy Rescue team were called to test the stability of the house.

No one in the home was injured, but police say the two males who fled the scene were injured, one of them smashing his head through the windshield.

Police used the K-9 unit to help track down the driver.  He is now facing multiple charges including impaired driving, and hit and run.
