Strathmore RCMP have released the identity of a man found dead in a rural area east of Calgary last week.

An autopsy has confirmed the deceased as 27-year-old Jammie Lee Miller of Calgary.

Someone discovered his body near the intersection of Range Road 282 and Township Road 232 around 8:00 a.m. on December 6, 2017 and called police.

Investigators continue to work to determine the cause and manner of his death and are hoping someone can help them track Miller’s movements just before his body was discovered.

“We are hoping to hear from anyone that was in contact with Jammie Miller between 9:00 p.m. on Monday, December 4th to 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6,” says RCMP Cpl. Curtis Peters. “Finding out his whereabouts and actions leading up to his death will help us to determine what happened and bring closure to his family.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the Strathmore RCMP at 403-934-3535 or Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), by internet at www.tipsubmit.com, or by SMS.
