Calgary police have confirmed the identity of the 46-year-old man whose body was discovered on Tuesday afternoon but the cause of his death is not being released.

Employees of a gravel storage facility located near Peigan Trail and Deerfoot Trail called the authorities after the lifeless man was found. An autopsy was conducted and the deceased was identified as 46-year-old Troy Michael Rawcliffe.

According to police, the cause of Rawcliffe’s death is being withheld pending further investigation.

Police are asking for information about Rawcliffe’s actions in the final weeks and months of his life. The deceased was known to live on the streets and his last contact with his family occurred approximately two weeks ago

Rawcliffe is described as:

  • Caucasian male
  • Approximately 173 cm (5’8”) tall
  • Weighing 68 kg (150 lbs)
  • Brown eyes
  • Brown hair
  • Goatee

Rawcliffe was last seen wearing:

  • Winnipeg Jets T-Shirt
  • Dark nylon jacket
  • Jeans
  • Cowboy boots
