The search for a missing man in Brooks has ended after his body was located a short distance from his last known whereabouts.
The unidentified man was last seen on the night of Friday, October 2, 2015 in West End Park. The man was intoxicated and sitting on a park bench.
On Friday, October 9, the man's disappearance was reported to RCMP. Officers discovered his remains in a creek in West End Park, shrouded by tall grass and reeds.
RCMP continue to investigate the death but do not believe foul play was involved.
The identity of the deceased has not been released as RCMP attempt to contact the next of kin.
