Police were called to a water rentention pond between Aberfoyle Close and Stoney Trail northeast on Thursday afternoon at about 2:00 p.m.

The Calgary Fire Department Aquatic Rescue Team was also called to the scene.

Police say the cause of death is undetermined at this time.

The Medical Examiner has been called in and an autopsy is scheduled for Friday.

Colton Crowshoe's father, Jimmy, told CTV News that police notified him that his son's body was found near the area where Colton went missing earlier this month.

The 18-year-old, originally from the Piikani Nation, was last seen July 4th after leaving a home in the Abbeydale area at about 2:30 a.m.
