The City of Calgary and officials with the county of Rocky View shared their ideas about a new bike pathway at a public open house on Wednesday night.
Officials are excited about the plan, saying it will get people outside and inspire them to be more active.
The proposed pathway alignment would lead from 101 St. S.W. in Calgary to the junction at Highway 22 and Highway 8.
The pathway would be about three metres wide with a centre line down the middle.
However, it's still in its conceptual stage and any construction is years away.
There is no estimate yet on how much the whole project will cost.
