A 26-year-old man, wanted in connection to a northwest sexual assault on Boxing Day, has been apprehended.
On the evening of December 26, a woman left the Brentwood LRT station on foot. The woman noticed a man following her near the intersection of Brentwood Rd. and Blackiston Dr. N.W. The suspect grabbed the woman from behind and dragged her to a nearby alleyway.
The suspect pushed the woman to the ground and struck her in the head. The screaming woman fought off her attacker and fled the alley.
Calgary police have identified the suspect as 26-year-old Andrew Holloway. On Wednesday afternoon, Holloway was arrested in the Cochrane area.
