Calgary Police closed down a part of 9 Ave. on Wednesday night after a mysterious liquid was spotted dripping from the top of the Calgary Tower.
The greasy liquid splattered down on the sidewalk, street, and parked vehicles below the tower.
Crews closed 9 Ave. between 1 St. and Centre St. as Haz Mat teams were called in to deal with the issue.
The mysterious substance turned out to be a mixture of water, antifreeze, and rust from a broken boiler at the top of the Calgary Tower.
The road was cleaned up and it reopened shortly after midnight.
