A pair of political heavy hitters are in Calgary to throw support behind their candidates for MP of Calgary Centre.
A by-election will take place on November 26 to replace Tory MP Lee Richardson.
Federal Liberal Leader Bob Rae met with Harvey Locke's campaign volunteers on Tuesday morning before heading out to do some main-streeting.
On Tuesday evening, leader of the Official Opposition Thomas Mulcair will attend a meet and greet with NDP candidate Dan Meades.
List of confirmed candidates for Calgary Centre as of November 7, 2012:
- Joan Crockatt: Conservatice Party of Canada
- Antoni Grochowski: Independent
- Harvie Locke: Liberal Party of Canada
- Dan Meades: New Democratic Party
- Tony Prashad: Libertarian Party of Canada
- Chris Turner: Green Party of Canada
Both leaders are visiting all three ridings that are holding by-elections. The other two are in Victoria and Ontario.
