Calgary Humane Society Dog Jog

• Held annually in June, Dog Jog is one of the Calgary Humane Society’s signature fundraising events with funds supporting the thousands of animals in need that come through the Society’s doors each year.

• This year Dog Jog is taking place on Sunday, June 8th with registration opening at 10 am.

• Dog Jog is a family-friendly, non-competitive walk or run (with or without your dog)

• There is a $25 registration fee (1/2 price until April 15) and a suggested minimum fundraising goal of $100 for each participant.

• Individuals can form teams or packs and have fun with some creative names for their team.

• There are prizes for best team spirit, top team fundraiser and top individual fundraiser.

• There are fantastic incentive prizes at all fundraising levels to help participants reach their target goal and to reward them for their efforts.

• The route is either 2.5 km or 5 km starting in the polo field of south Glenmore park – the far west side.

• It is an absolutely gorgeous pathway along the Glenmore reservoir and the top of the Weaselhead natural area.

• We have some of Calgary’s finest food trucks on-site for the event providing an amazing array of food choices for participants with partial proceeds of all sales being donated back to the Calgary Humane Society.

• The Barkingville Marketplace provides an opportunity to grab a bite to eat, relax or wander and shop the vendor area for the latest in treats, toys and equipment for your pooch.

• Take in a CHS behaviour team demo, let the kids burn off some steam in the Kid’s Zone or just relax and enjoy the day. Dog Jog 2014 has something for everyone!
