A forensic psychiatrist testified that Hari Pal is fit to stand trial in the 2014 murders of his estranged wife and her friend.

The psychiatrist said Pal has a low IQ and is suffering from a mild neurocognitive disorder which may be causing him to slowly lose his memory.

Pal faces two counts of second degree murder in the deaths of his estranged wife Sanjula Devi   and her friend Fahmida Velji-Visram.

Pal's trial is set for December but the judge is asking to have that date pushed up sooner.
