Remembrance Day is on Sunday, November 11 and several ceremonies are being held throughout the city to honour Canada's war dead.
• Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium
o 1415 14 Ave. N.W.
o The City, Mayor Nenshi and Royal Canadian Legion
o Doors 9:30 a.m. ~ Ceremony begins 10:30 a.m.
• Calgary International Airport
o Pipe Band and Honour Guard parade and ceremony for airport employees and travellers
o Departure level 10:30 a.m.
• The Military Museums of Calgary
o 4520 Crowchild Tr. S.W.
o Premier Alison Redford
o Ceremony begins 10:45 a.m.
• Poppy Fund Crosses Ceremony along Memorial Drive
o Two Minutes of Silence 11:00 a.m.
• Canadian Pacific Remembrance Day service
o Gulf Canada Square
o 401 9 Ave S.W.
o Ceremony begins 11:00 a.m.
• Battalion Park
o 3001 Signal Hill Dr S.W.
o Ceremony begins 10:40 a.m.
• Central Memorial Park Cenotaph
o 4th Street and 12th Avenue S.W.
• Aero Space Museum of Calgary
o 4629 McCall Way N.E.
o Ceremony begins 10:30 a.m.
• Union Cemetery Tour
o 28 Ave and Spiller Rd. S.E.
o 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
• CFL Western Division Semi-final game
o McMahon Stadium
o Veterans Affairs and the CFL will hold an opening ceremonies tribute
o 14:30 p.m.
