Celebrities face off for charity

The inaugural Centre Ice Hockey Challenge was held at the Max Bell Centre on Sunday afternoon and celebrities teamed up for a game of shinny to raise money for the kids.
The Doug Blackie Memorial Cup was started in honour of the late television and film Prop Master and builder, who loved children.
The Heartland Mustangs took on Rob Kerr's All Stars for the coveted cup and entertainment industry bragging rights.
The Mustangs were made up of cast, crew, and special guests of the CBC Sunday night drama Heartland and Rob Kerr's All Stars were represented by local media, NHL Alumni, and local celebrities.
Rob Kerr's All Stars laid a crushing defeat on the Heartland Mustangs and won by a score of 13-12 in a shoot out.
The family event was held to raise awareness and funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary and was free to the public.
Donations to the BBBS were accepted at the door, and a live auction was held during the second intermission to help raise money.
The event raised $7500.00 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary.
Calgarians of all ages came out to watch the game and guests were also treated to a meet and greet with all the celebrities in the lobby of the arena after the game.
