Shoppers were treated to a midday concert by Canadian stars Chantal Kreviazuk and her husband Raine Maida, lead singer of Our Lady Peace.
Kreviazuk and Maida performed the free concert in the Core shopping centre. They were there to promote MusiCounts, a charity that helps keep music education alive in schools across Canada. Sponsor TD Bank hosted the event to celebrate the opening of a new branch.
Thrilled fans got up close to the musical pair, and had the chance to enter a draw for a VIP experience at the Junos in Calgary on April 3.
Kreviazuk is from Winnipeg and had a string of hits since the 1990's. She was nominated for a Juno Award in 1997.
Both artists are members of the Order of Canada for their charitable and humanitarian work.
