Cochrane RCMP has laid charges in connection with a fatal hit and run crash on the Morley First Nation on the weekend.
On Saturday, police were called to a rural road south of the community where they found a 22-year-old man’s body.
They aren’t sure exactly what happened, but know that he was hit by a vehicle while he was in the road.
A subsequent investigation led them to a vehicle they believe was involved in the incident.
Gabriel Lazarus Wesley, 22, has been charged with failure to remain at the scene of an accident.
Wesley is expected to appear in Calgary court on Monday.
