Calgary police were amazed that no one was injured after a serious crash in the southwest late Thursday night.
They were called to 14 St. S.W. near 17 Ave. at around 11:15 p.m. and found two cars had crashed into each other.
The force of the impact had flipped one of the vehicles and it hit a power pole, knocking it over.
Five people were in the car that flipped over, but no one was injured in the crash.
There is no information about the occupants of the other vehicle.
The road was closed for about an hour while Enmax crews repaired the fallen pole.
Police say that speed and alcohol may have been factors in the crash.
Charges are pending.
