Residents of the community of Taradale are rallying together in support of a young woman who was kidnapped and sexually assaulted a week ago.
The 17-year-old was waiting for a bus when she was dragged into an alley and assaulted. She was then taken to a home in Martindale where the attack continued, before she escaped.
Two brothers, Corey George Manyshots and Cody George Manyshots, have now been charged in the attack.
People who live in the area were shocked and appalled by the crime and organized the rally dubbed “Glow in the Dark.’
The vigil starts at about 5:30 at the bus stop at the corner of Taradale Drive and Taracove Road NE.
People are asked to bring glow sticks and flash lights to show a united front against crime in their community.
