Cougars can frequently be seen around Calgary, but one big cat decided to make himself at home in Heritage Pointe just south of the city on Saturday.
Homeowner Dan Tomie spotted the beautiful animal lounging about on the patio and decided to take some close-ups through the window.
The whole encounter lasted about a half-hour before the cougar decided the show was over.
Tomie said he was so excited to see the cougar in close quarters that he didn’t even concern himself with calling Fish and Wildlife officers.
However, he did forward the photos to the Home Owner’s Association so they could warn other residents about the feline visitor.
