Luckily, no one was hurt in a serious crash that closed a section of 17 Ave. S.W. in Calgary on Thursday night.
Witnesses say a truck turning left from 17 Ave. to 2 St. was hit by a car that apparently ran the red light.
The truck spun around from the force of the impact and smashed into a light standard.
A passenger in the truck said they were waiting for the light when the car hit them.
No one was seriously injured and the road was opened shortly before 11:30 p.m.
