The Calgary Fire Department was called out to a blaze in a home in the community of Edgemont on Friday morning.
The fire started at about 5:30 a.m. in a home on Edgemont Point N.W. and burned the upper floor and the attic.
Two people were home at the time and managed to escape uninjured.
Additional firefighters were called in and quickly contained the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
