Emergency crews were called to the scene of a crash in the southbound lanes of Highway 2 near Balzac and traffic in the area was affected for several hours.
RCMP say the crash happened at about 5:00 p.m. on the off ramp to CrossIron Mills.
One person was pinned in the wreckage and Rocky View Fire crews had to extricate the man.
Traffic is moving slow through the area and motorists should use caution while crews work to clear the scene.
There is no word yet on the man's injuries.
