Commuters who live in the south end of the city had to board shuttle buses for part of the trip home on Monday night after a mechanical fault in the power distribution system knocked out CTrain service.

CTrain service on the 201 Red Line was disrupted between Chinook Station and Victoria Park/Stampede Station during rush hour on Monday and a shuttle service was put in place to connect customers.

Service was restored to the trains just after 8:00 p.m.and transit says both tracks are running from Tuscany to Somerset once again.
