Lethbridge police are looking for two suspects in connection to an armed, home invasion at a northside residence on Monday and say a pet dog was shot and killed during the incident.

Police were called to a home in the 1900 block of 23 Street N at about 12:40 p.m. and were told by the two residents that two, masked men broke into the house, pointed a firearm at them and demanded money.

Two large dogs were also inside the home and police say one of the suspects shot a dog when it became aggressive.

A struggle ensued between the man who lived at the home and the offenders, who then fled the scene.
