One man is dead after the pick-up truck he was driving left the road and slammed through two garages in the southeast community of Cranston.
EMS spokesperson Stuart Brideaux says emergency crews responded to the 0 – 100 block of Cranston Drive Southeast at roughly 2:00 p.m. Wednesday following reports of a collision involving a home and a vehicle.
The responding EMS crew determined the truck had left the road, struck a large rock on the front yard of a home, slammed through the exterior wall of an attached garage, collided with a parked vehicle, exited the garage through the exterior wall on the other side of the garage before entering the garage of the neighbouring home.
The driver of the pickup truck, a man believed to be in his mid-thirties, was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased has not been released.
No other injuries have been reported. It is believed the driver was the lone occupant of the truck.
