The legal representation for Dustin Paxton, the man found guilty in 2012 of aggravated assault and sexually assaulting his former roommate, has confirmed they are appealing Paxton’s conviction as well his status as a dangerous offender.
33-year-old Paxton was designated a dangerous offender in December after Justice Sheila Martin determined he was a high risk to reoffend. The dangerous offender designation carries an indeterminate prison sentence.
