Fire crews were called to a business in Cochrane early Wednesday morning, but could do little but watch as flames engulfed a structure.
They arrived on scene at around 1:30 a.m. and found a greenhouse on a business property in the community west of Calgary fully engulfed.
Firefighters were able to keep the blaze from spreading to neighbouring businesses but the siding on one of the adjacent buildings melted from the heat.
Investigators are working to determine a cause of the blaze.
