Calgary police are asking for public help in identifying the suspect in a November sexual assault which occurred outside of city limits.

According to police, at approximately 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2013, a man in a vehicle approached a woman near the intersection of 14 Ave. and 2 St. S.W. A conversation ensued between the two and the woman asked the man for a ride home. The driver agreed and the woman entered the car.

The man drove north of Calgary’s city limits where he proceeded to physically and sexually assault his passenger.

The victim escaped from the vehicle and attempted to run away. The suspect continued to pursue the woman from his car and attempted to hit her with his vehicle.

A second vehicle approached and the driver offered to assist the woman. The suspect fled the scene.

The suspect is described as:

  • A male of East Indian descent
  • Having an accent
  • Between 35 and 40-years-old
  • Having a heavy build

The suspect’s vehicle is described as an older model, dark green Ford Taurus sedan.
