Natural gas customers in Southern Alberta will be paying more for the utility starting in 2014, and there’s also an increase in the cost for electricity.
Customers in ATCO’s south service territory, from Red Deer all the way south, will be paying a dollar more per gigajoule of natural gas.
A typical bill for January will be about $157, a $30 hike from the previous year.
Electricity will be about two percent higher in January.
