A man accused of war crimes in Central America will remain in Canada for at least another two weeks.

A hearing on the extradition of 52-year old Jorge Sosa has been rescheduled for the end of August.

Sosa operated martial arts academies in Lethbridge and Calgary, and holds Canadian, U.S. and Guatemalan citizenship.

Guatemalan officials accuse Sosa of war crimes during the early 1980's, but the Canadian hearing is to determine if he should be sent to the U.S.

Sosa is accused of lying about his crime history when applying on his citizenship application.
