Lethbridge police have charged five people, seized drugs and recovered $54,000 worth of stolen property after an investigation.

Officials say the Priority Crimes Unit began an investigation into a group of people believed to be responsible for a string of property crimes in mid-September.

Following the investigation, police recovered stolen property and quantities of cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamine and fentanyl.

The stolen property consisted of:

  • a Ford F-150 truck
  • electronics
  • tools
  • liquor
  • identity documents
  • vehicle parts
  • bicycles

Police say some of the recovered items included a Fender guitar, an Epson projector and a Canon camera, all silent auction items stolen from the local chapter of Big Brothers, Big Sisters.

All of the items have been returned to their rightful owners.

Police have charged five people in connection with the operation.

Jonathan Alexander Kogler, 28, of Lethbridge, has been charged with:

  • one count Assault
  • six counts Break and Enter
  • one count of Arson
  • one count Possession of Stolen Property Over $5,000
  • two counts Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000
  • two counts of Theft of Motor Vehicle

Jade Levi Trotter, 30, of Lethbridge, has been charged with:

  • nine counts of Break and Enter
  • five counts Trafficking Stolen Property
  • one count Arson
  • two counts of Theft of Motor Vehicle
  • two counts of Theft of Motor Vehicle
  • one count Breach of Recognizance
  • one count of use of Stolen Credit Card

Natasha Kristen Brooks, 27, of Lethbridge, has been charged with:

  • one count Possession of Stolen Property

Paula Chantelle Reed, 48, of Lethbridge, has been charged with:

  • two counts of Break and Enter

Nicholas Rodney Scout, 32, of Lethbridge, has been charged with:

  • Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000

Additional charges against multiple people are also pending.
