The Foo Fighters, the Dave Grohl fronted Grammy award winning band, are delivering a simple message to those who use bots to secure online tickets for resale: They don’t owe you anything

The Foo Fighters 2015 North America tour will include an August 13 stop in Calgary, and the band will stick around in Alberta for a show in Edmonton the following night.

Nearly 2,100 Foo Fighters fans gathered outside of the Scotiabank Saddledome on Saturday to take part in a time honoured traditional approach to securing concert tickets – lining up in-person at the venue.

Tickets for the Calgary concert were made available to fans on Saturday as part of the band's 'Beat the Bots' initiative with limits on the number of seats and floor tickets each customer could buy. When the box office opened on Saturday at 9:00 a.m., an everlong line of fans stretched for several blocks.

For those unable to attend Saturday’s event, tickets will be available during a December 1 online presale and general ticket sales will begin on December 4.

The Foo Fighters tour follows the release of the group's Sonic Highways album, a collection of songs inspired by American cities known for their contributions to music. The making of the album was documented in an HBO series of the same name.
