Dozens of students and parents are fuming over an anti-abortion flyer that landed on doorsteps in a southwest neighbourhood.

The campaign takes aim at the Harper government and puts the prime minister's photo next to graphic images depicting aborted fetuses.

The postcards were dropped off in people's mailboxes or left in the open where anybody could see them.

The same group demonstrated in front of a local high school, holding up large posters with the same graphic pictures.

Several people in the community of Haysboro where the postcards were distributed say it's not the message that angers them but how the information was sent out.

"I don't think any sort of graphic image like that should be delivered to a home," said one person.

"I'm okay with people expressing their opinions and everything. That's what this is about democracy, having different opinions and everything but this is not the right place for this," said another.

The executive director of the Calgary Sexual Health Centre says this is a form of scare tactic.

"Currently in Alberta you can access abortion up to 19 weeks, six days and that's it. If there's a severe abnormality of the fetus so it is not viable then the medical community will take a look at that,” said Pam Krause from the Calgary Sexual Health Centre.

In Canada only 1.9 percent of abortions happen after 20 weeks.

Police say the group is not breaking any laws and their demonstration outside the high school is also legal.
