Two people are facing 20 drug and weapons related charges in connection to a bust at a medical marijuana growing operation in the community of Silverado.

ALERT Green Team members and police took down a 107 plant grow-op on July 21 and allege that the licensed facility was fuelling the accused’s marijuana drug trafficking operation.

Green Team members saw behavior consistent with drug trafficking during the six-week investigation and police say evidence consistent with drug trafficking was also seized from the home.

Police seized scoresheets, scales, packaging materials, and over one dozen cell phones from the residence along with the 107 marijuana plants.

Investigators also seized:

  • 139 grams of packaged marijuana
  • Loaded handgun that was previously reported stolen
  • Taser conducted energy weapon
  • Money counter
  • $1,100 in cash proceeds of crime

Alan Stuart Macdonald, 41, and Courtney Dionne McConnell, 30, were both arrested inside the home and together are facing 20 drug and weapons related charges.
