Calgary Police are looking for seven men they believe to be behind a rash of bank robberies between August 2011 and May 2013.

Authorities say that in each of the incidents, the culprit indicated that he was armed.

In one incident, a gun was fired but no one was injured.

The series of incidents are as follows:

  • At approximately 6 p.m. on Aug. 9, 2011, a man entered the TD Canada Trust in the 3600 block of Brentwood Rd. N.W., and presented a note to the teller indicating he was armed with a weapon and that it was a robbery. The culprit was given an undisclosed amount of money and he fled the bank.
  • At approximately 11:45 a.m. on Jan. 13, 2012, a man entered the Scotiabank in the 1900 block of Uxbridge Dr. N.W., and presented a note to the teller indicating that it was a robbery and made a verbal demand for cash. The culprit was given a dye pack and an undisclosed amount of cash. The dye pack exploded shortly after the culprit exited the bank.
  • At approximately 2:45 p.m. on Feb. 6, 2012, a man entered the Royal Bank located in the Signal Hill Centre S.W., told the teller it was a robbery and demanded cash. During the event the culprit discharged a firearm and fled the premise prior to receiving any money. No one was injured during the incident.
  • At approximately 11 a.m. on Oct. 24, 2012, a man entered the Scotiabank in the 4900 block of Richmond Road S.W., approaching the teller demanding money. At approximately 11 a.m. on May 24, 2013, a man entered the CIBC bank in the 4600 block of Bow Trail S.W., and presented a note to the teller indicating he was armed with a weapon and that it was a robbery. These two cases are believed to be related.
  • At approximately 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 1, 2013, a man entered the Scotiabank in the 3200 block of 17 Avenue S.W., and presented a note to the teller. The culprit was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled the bank.
  • At approximately 3:20 p.m. on March 5, 2013, a disguised man entered the Alberta Treasury Branch in the 2100 block of 34 Avenue S.W. The culprit produced a weapon and was verbally aggressive, making a robbery demand to employees. He fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
  • At approximately 8:15 a.m. on April 20, 2013, and 8:40 a.m. on June 15, 2013, a man entered the TD Canada Trust in the 1400 block of 1 Street S.E. In the first instance the man indicated he had a weapon and in the second instance he climbed over the counter while making a demand for money. In both instances the culprit fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police haven’t said anything about if any or all of these incidents are connected.
