Police are issuing a warning about a convicted sex offender just released in the Calgary area.
55-year-old Alan Neil Bathgate just finished serving a three and a half year federal prison sentence. Bathgate has an extensive history of sexual assault, sexual interference and performing indecent acts in public against female children and adults.
His crimes were committed at locations across Alberta and Saskatchewan.
The Calgary Police Service High Risk Offender program will continue to monitor Bathgate as he makes his return to public life.
