Immigrant Services Calgary (ISC) are pleased to announce the finalists for the 19th annual Immigrants of Distinction Awards “Inspiring New Stories”.

The Awards are designed to bring community stories of achievement and contribution while recognizing some of Calgary’s most esteemed immigrants. Awards will be offered in Business, Arts and Culture, Youth Scholarships, Community Service, Hadassah Ksienski Distinguished Service, Organizational Diversity, Lifetime Achievement and Achievement Under 40.

This year’s Immigrants of Distinction Awards finalists are as follows:

Arts and Culture: Toshi Jackson and Vania Dimitrova

Business: Girish Agrawal

Community Service: Carolina Dalgleish, Gurmit Sarpal and Yasmin Kothari

Lifetime Achievement: Carolina Dalgleish and Chan Wirasinghe

Achievement Under 40: Ariam Wolde-Giorgis

Organizational Diversity: Accenture and Rogers

Youth Scholarship: Mahtab Dhaliwal, Ziad Paracha, Nilufer Hasanova, Vidya Bavalana, Syeda Rizvi

Hadassah Ksienski Distinguished Service: Carolina Dalgleish

These finalists showcase a broad range of incredible talents and contributions, yet are united in that they exemplify the high level of achievement Calgary’s immigrants are reaching.
