The Calgary Police Service continues to investigate a Friday evening assault that sent one man to hospital.

According to police, officers and EMS were called to the 7800 block of 24 Street Southeast, in the community of Ogden, at around 10:30 p.m. after an unidentified person entered the a fire station stating someone had been attacked.

An injured, middle-aged man was located and transported by ambulate to the Foothills Medical Centre in stable, non-life threatening condition.

Police have identified a person of interest in connection with the assault but have not made an arrest.
