Over 500 children descended on the Telus Convention Centre to test toys on Saturday.

More than 140 different toys were on hand for Walmart’s toy tester event.  The toys were rated on things like how easy it is to use and its educational value. Feedback from kids will help determine the most popular toys for this year’s holiday season.

“None of the toys here today are available in stores yet, they’re just going to be hitting stores in the next month.  We’re looking for fun, new trends…and lots of exciting new toys,” says Jennifer Wallace from Walmart Canada.

The toys from Saturday’s event will be donated to the Salvation Army.
