• Gary Burns, Canada’s king of surreal comedy joins Jim Brown on an outing to craft a vivid account of life in the late suburban age. The film has been awarded a Genie Award for Best Documentary.

Saturday, August 15: Lloyd the Conqueror by Mike Peterson

• A tyrannical professor coerces three slacker students into joining his live action role playing league in exchange for a passing grade.

Saturday August 22: Waking Life by Richard Linklater

• A man tries to figure out whether he’s living in reality as he shuffles through a dream meeting various people and discussing the meanings and purposes of the universe. Waking Life premiered at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival.

Saturday, August 29: My Prairie Home by Chelsea McMullan and Rae Spoon –

• Transgender musical artist Rae Spoon takes us on a playful, meditative and at times melancholic journey as they visits stretches of Rural Alberta to confront memories of an abusive household. The film was an official selection at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival.
