The wallets of Calgarians are getting a bit of a breather following a hectic holiday season as gas prices throughout the city remain below the one dollar mark.
The average price of gas in the city right now is less than 98 cents a litre with some stations offering prices as low as 93.9 cents
It's a pleasant surprise for Calgary motorists, especially when compared to high gas prices around the rest of the country. In British Columbia, the average gas price hovers around $1.20 per litre.
Since 2009, Calgary’s average gas price has failed to dip below the one dollar mark for any significant period of time.
