Centre Street North is down to one lane in each direction between 10 Avenue and 11 Avenue due to an emergency sanitary line repair.
The City says northbound Centre Street will be closed to allow two open southbound lanes between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Monday, April 20, 2015 to accommodate traffic heading into the downtown core.
After 8:30 a.m., northbound Centre Street will be reopened to allow one lane of traffic in each direction.
It’s expected the road will fully reopen in time for Monday’s afternoon rush hour.
Centre Street North is also reduced to one lane in each direction between 38 Avenue and 41 Avenue due to a water main break.
40 Avenue NE is also closed east of Centre Street to for repairs.
Centre Street North will be closed in the northbound lanes to allow two open southbound lanes between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. for the morning commute on both Monday, April 20, 2015 and Tuesday, April 21, 2015.
After 9 a.m., northbound Centre Street will reopen to allow one lane of traffic in each direction.
Detours have been set up at both locations.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes as major delays are expected on Centre Street during the morning commute.
