A Calgary man, charged with first degree murder in the deaths of a mother and her five-year-old son, was in court on Monday.

Guevara Wilson Clorina, 26, is charged in the deaths of 35-year-old Chona Manzano and her son Gabriel.

Both were found stabbed to death in their Evanston home on May 16.

Clorina was later found in a vehicle along a rural road north of Calgary.

Police say he is related to the victims.

Clorina was in court last week, but the judge adjourned the case so that he could secure legal representation.

On Monday, the case was put over while the defence awaits disclosure. The next court date is set for June 17, 2013.
