The Calgary Police Service is turning to the public for information regarding a Calgary man who failed to check-in with his probation officer and remains unaccounted for.

Daniel Paul Loveys, 27, was arrested and charged in September in connection with a number of robberies at retails outlets, including M & M Meat Shops locations, throughout Calgary between June and August. During the heists, the suspect presented a small knife and demanded cash.

Loveys faces 22 charges in connection with six robberies in Calgary.

As a condition of his release, Loveys was required to report to his probation office this week but failed to do so. Officers visited Loveys’ court approved residence but he was not there. An arrest warrant has been issued for the wanted man.

Loveys is described as:

  • A Caucasian male
  • 178 cm (5’10”) tall
  • Weighing approximately 73 kg (160 lbs)
  • Having short brown hair and brown eyes
  • Wears eyeglasses

Loveys has ties to British Columbia and Saskatchewan and, according to police, has a ‘significant history of robberies involving a weapon’.

Anyone who encounters Loveys should avoid approaching the wanted man and contact local police.

Anyone with information regarding Loveys’ whereabouts is asked to contact the Calgary Police Service, 403-266-1234, or Crime Stoppers.
