A careless driving charge has been laid in connection to the death of a 67-year-old woman who was hit by a vehicle on a street in the Forest Heights area back in March
Police were called to the 4800 block of 8 Avenue SE at about 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 17 after a woman was hit by a vehicle in a marked crosswalk.
The woman was hit by a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica that was travelling eastbound on 8 Avenue.
She was taken to Foothills Hospital in critical condition with head trauma and died from her injuries the next day.
Chol Chol, 31 of Calgary is now charged with careless driving and failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
