Some residents in Oakridge don't feel safe in their own homes after a man was charged with voyeurism and then permitted to move back home near the teen he is accused of spying on.

Chad Barry Robert Stone is charged with voyeurism after a camera was found in a neighbour’s bathroom.

It is alleged that a teenager found the camera in a heating duct and that the footage showed her undressing.

Stone is also charged with luring a child using sexually explicit texts.

Neighbours are wary and say they just want him out of their community.

“I want to see him gone, but actually even if he is gone, I don't feel safe because he still knows where we all live but at the end of the day, like this is my home and I’m staying with me and my neighbours, and none of us want to move here. We want to see him gone and we’re just going to stand our ground to the end,” said neighbour Marylin McIntosh.

“When the adults do go out we’re out in like, pairs always, we just don’t want to be by ourselves” said Tabatha von King. “Scary.”

The woman who had the camera allegedly hidden in her bathroom spoke exclusively to CTV Calgary but we can’t identify her because her daughter is involved.

She told us she doesn't understand how a judge could let Stone out on bail especially with children living nearby.

CTV Calgary contacted Chad Stone about the allegations.

He refused an on camera interview but did speak by phone saying, “It’s all crap, like literally. Once this goes to court and they go on the stand, it’s going to be ended really quickly. The truth will come out.” said Stone.  “Those cops destroyed my house. Destroyed everything I worked hard for.”

Stone denies the allegations but says he plans to move away from the apartment complex.

Until then the families living in the complex say they will stick together in groups and keep an eye out for their kids and neighbours.
